The Australian company, Harps and Harps, is known for their custom lever harps. In fact, they state that they will make any harp from any kind of wood you specify. They even say that you can ask for variations on the shape. Harps and Harps makes cross strung, triple strung, or double strung harps. Just ask and they’ll make it for you.
Another highlight of Harps and Harps' harps is that they will do almost any kind of custom engraving on your harp that you want. If you want a custom-made harp, Harps and Harps is definitely the place to go.
We were very impressed with the fact that for a small site, they really do have a lot of accessories. One particular accessory we didn’t see on other harp websites were lap sticks. These wooden rods that attach to the harp enable the player to balance a lap harp while sitting down.
Harps and Harps also have supplies available if you have decided you would like to build your own harp.
If you would like to purchase a used folk harp, they have an ample selection, however, they have no used pedal harps available.
Harps and Harps sells Camac, Dusty Strings, and Venus harps, however they are not in stock. Harps and Harps suggests that you go out to the Camac, Dusty Strings, or Venus websites, select the harp you want and then they will then order the harp for you.
Harps and Harps offers some very interesting features.
We were unable to find any kind of support information, but they do have a testimonials page where harp purchasers have made comments on their satisfaction concerning the harps they have purchased from Harps and Harps.
Overall, the website for Harps and Harps is unprofessional, difficult to navigate, and several of their links don’t work. This is a shame because we were very impressed with their products.
Harps and Harps offers a unique product in that someone who wants a custom-made harp will be very pleased at their willingness to provide the exact harp the harpist desires. We hope in the future that Harps and Harps improves their website and that they begin to include support information on their website.
We recommend you read our reviews of the top-ranked sites: Sylvia Woods Harp Center, Harps Etc. and The Harp Connection that offer a more complete selection of harps and accessories.
